How did it all start?
For Roohee Pathan, sewing was more than a craft — it was a way to shape ideas into reality. Each piece she created carried intention, care, and a quiet brilliance that couldn’t be replicated. Even as life grew busy, her dream to make a mark in fashion remained.
Her daughter, Nida Pathan, inherited the same love for fashion, she saw what many of us feel but rarely say out loud: the Indian market doesn’t always give women what they truly want. We scroll through inspiration from abroad — those elegant pieces that feel effortless but are often beyond reach, require custom effort, or simply don’t exist in the local market.
That’s why Ruda was created — born from a mother’s craft and a daughter’s vision. It’s for women like you, who want clothing that feels luxurious but approachable, minimal yet powerful. Pieces that don’t just stay in your inspiration board, but actually find a place in your wardrobe.
Wherever you go, feel your presence!
About Ruda Edit
At Ruda, we’re creating Indian wear that works as hard as you do. Luxe in look, light in feel — our pieces are made for movement, meetings, and mid-day chai with friends.
Because not every ethnic outfit needs to scream “at a family function.”
Indian wear has always been either too heavy for daily use, too casual for work, or too expensive to feel accessible.
Ruda fills that space — with thoughtfully designed and handcrafted outfits that are office-appropriate, comfortable for all-day wear, and timeless enough to transition into evenings.
Why us?
We could tell you — but it’s something we want you to feel and tell us after the first time you experience our craft.
